Subway Platform Kisses

Not quite sure just where the past few months have gone; perhaps they were squandered in a drunken game of poker or gin rummy. Or perhaps even Uno, who can really say. Nonethless, they've passed by already. And now the sun is shining, the Red Sox haven't collapsed just yet, and there are new records from Moose and Hushpad on the way....

Last I spoke to you, I was just about to move... Needless to say, I have indeed moved since that time in October and the world seems a much different place than it was then. Funny, you gamble a couple of months away and you find yourself standing on a subway platform wondering what happened. Found myself in just such a place, until a stranger began to mutter obscenities at me. Suppose that's better than having someone you know do the same. In any event, at least the wistful thoughts of the moment were chased away, and I could ponder deeply about more important things, like which advertisements would be lining the walls of the car I'd be riding. Or which records I needed to buy. That would be progress, at least.

Received the DATS for the new Moose record just recently, as a matter of fact, and the songs- well, they're something to behold. A tease it is, I know, to speak of songs that are not yet available- but they are most certainly worth waiting for. As for Hushpad, you and me are in the same boat on that one. He has a number of songs recorded, but I've yet to hear them myself. I'm sure they'll be great; they always are. Singles will be preceding each album....

If you have any questions, feel free to drop me a note. Letters, be they paper or email, are always a joy to receive. Well, maybe not always, but more often than not.

On the horizon at Saltwater....

Just beyond where the curvature of the earth drops the horizon from our sights is where you will find the upcoming releases from Saltwater...

Moose

The new album, to be entitled "High Ball Me!", will be co-released by Saltwater and Le Grand Magistery. The songs are all recorded, and at this point we are waiting for a number of little details to be sorted out. We'll be as expeditious as we can in taking care of these things ... A single or ep of some sort will be preceeding the album, an appetizer of sorts to whet your appetite. Please check back here or write me for more details on that... A lovely page for Moose information is http://www.puc.edu/Departments/Art/gallery/James_Reeder/moose/

Hushpad

Hushpad has a number of songs recorded, but being a perfectionist (as evidenced by near perfect 7"s on Bus Stop and Goodbye Virginia) he is remixing a number of songs. I've not actually had the chance to hear the songs as yet, but I'm told they've a bit of a dancy feel to them. Needless to say, I'm quite excited by this idea... A single or ep will precede the record, which will be more along the lines of the Hushpad you've come to know and love. This will be Hushpad's first full-length. Of course, check back here for more information or drop me a note.
